Rev. Dr. Haynes road to recovery
Updates as of 9-8-2022:
Yesterday daddy had another surgery after developing additional blood clots in his legs, and it went very well. We are praying he gets no additional clots. He has been moved from ICU and is now in a regular room. We are hopeful daddy will be leaving the hospital by next week and going to rehabilitation. Thank you all for the love, support and prayers. It means the world to the family and I will keep you all updated on his journey.

Update as of 9/10/2022
Please continue to pray for healing, daddy is back in the ICU Unit. The doctors/nurses are making sure his vitals stay in a decent range. We visit daddy everyday to make sure he knows we are right by his side, we read his cards that have been mailed to him as they come in. His pain level today was much better than yesterday. He doesn't talk much but if you ask him does he want to watch football, he will nod yes. So please continue to send those prayers and spiritual hugs as the Haynes Family needs them everyday. Thanks to you all for your love and continued support during these difficult times

Update to post as of 9/12/2022
Daddy is still in ICU but his vitals are looking better and better everyday. There is not a date to be moved out of ICU to a regular floor as the doctors evaluate him everyday. I will update you all once he is out of ICU and hopefully get some good pictures soon for you all since some that may have wanted to visit are not able to visit as of yet. Thank you again for the love and support.

Update for post as of 9/13/2022
Off one of the BP meds that was keeping his BP up, update he is being removed off both BP meds.
No dialysis , because he put off enough urine with the help of a trial medication (lasix) to make him pee. (Kidney doctor wanted to see how much output he had)
Did occupational therapy today
Speech therapy not cleared yet, they don’t feel his throat is strong enough because even when he coughs it’s not strong enough
But overall he is making progress

Update to post for 9/14/2022:
He had to be intubated and sedated due to a decline in his level of alertness/responsiveness. Intubated is the process of inserting a tube into the mouth and into the airway to hold it open. A ventilator is then connected to support his breathing.

Alvin and JeanTaylor stepped in and raised Ed and Herman after the death of their biological parents. This is how the Haynes brothers were blessed with two amazing sisters, Althoria and Angeline (Angie).
